Recognition is back!
Starting the season with a selection of three short films that celebrate the spirit of childhood/adulthood. I’m especially proud to present the works of local young talent from the diaspora.

2015 – Short Film – 20min
The 8-year-old Aida lives in an apartment in the Parisian suburb. The daily life of Aida and the whole family is overwhelmed when her father comes back from Senegal, their country of origin. Actually, he did not come back alone. He returned with the young Senegalese Rama whom he introduced as his second wife. Aida is very sensitive to her mother’s distress. She decides then to get rid of the new visitor.

A Child Like Innocence” is a visual poem centered around the themes of Black love, pain and forgiveness. Through the lens of Innocent, a young Black male, a story of redemption unfolds between his brother, his girlfriend and himself.
